My purse!!

Well I know that I already posted the first purse I made but after making one for my friend I really really wanted my own. I decided to make mine a little different and bigger since I still have to carry all the stuff for Bug with me. I really LOVE the way it came out. I am so excited to go do ANYTHING tomorrow so that I can use it! This purse was a lot more work than the first one but I think that it was worth the extra effort. Other than that nothing to exciting going on in my life. Just waiting on my baby to come home to me! 18 more days till hes on that plane! Photobucket

Look what I made!

So I have always absolutely loved these purses but I never thought I would be capable enough to make one. Well a friend of mine wanted to give one to her boss for her birthday but she didn't want to pay the 50 bucks or more most people charge for these so she asked me if I thought I would be capable of doing it. At first I was going to say no, but then after warning her it might not come out, I decided what the heck why not give it a shot! Well here it is! I am pretty proud of this beauty and I can't wait to make my own now! For those of you that don't know you just add your name tapes from your hubbys uniform to it and you can have one made that says army wife and then you put the unit patches on it etc etc. Its made out of your husbands uniform top and its a way to wear your hero on your arm. Kinda cheesy to some but to us Army wives, were proud of our hubbys and all that they do for this country!

Selling at a craft show!

Well I am kinda excited! Scott is always telling me that I should try and sell some of the things that I make cause obviously we spend some money doing all my crafts and why not try and sell and see if we get any in return? Well I posted an ad on Craigslist yesterday for my pillowcase dresses. I figured these were a good place to start and I just wanted to see if there was even any interest. Well I got three orders the first day and now a lady wants to consign my dresses at her craft shows. So starting in May my stuff will be touring around at about 3 craft shows a month! I am so excited about this! I never thought people would want to but the junk I make. But guess they do! So exciting!! Just hope they sell. Now I have to make between 6 and 10 dresses by may. So good luck to me! Cause I am making military purses for my friends right now and dresses for my friends kids right now. GOt lots and lots to do!!

Ugh

So I really thought I had some bad allergies going on. Allergies run in my family and I have never had them so when the signs starting popping up I just figured it was my time to follow in those family genes. So I set up and appointment to go get some allergy medicine. I have felt pretty crummy the last few days and I just thought I was being a big baby dealing with them cause I really just haven't felt well and didn't have much motivation. Well come to find out I have allergies, on top of a sinus infection and double ear infection. No wonder I didn't feel good. So now I am on all sorts of great medicines and I have to have a cat scan of my sinus done because all my passage ways are completly closed up and he couldn't see anything. My parents and brother have all had the surgery where they go in and scrape you clean and open it all up. The doctor informed me today that this very well could be my future. Yay.... Ugh...

On a brighter note, I actually think I like my doctor and the facility I am at. So looks like we won't be having to switch out medical. So thats a bonus

Procrastinating....

Well the weather took a turn here and I am sitting her procrastinating doing anything. Its just so blah outside that I dont feel motivated to do anything! I hate when its all gloomy like this. I should be working on a military purse for my friend but just can't seem to pull out the will. Also I have a cold or allergies or something kicking my butt right now and I no meds seem to be helping me out. I have a doctors appointment here this afternoon for it, but its on post. I guess they decided to lock down all the new incomers with on post medical and you don't have an option. I think its really really crappy but its what we have. So I have an appointment today and Ada has one on the 31st to get her a referral to go back to a specialist cause all her fun digiestive issues are back but if I am not pleased we will be switching out medical and paying out of pocket for some things. So fingers crossed our doctor is good and not bad! Well this is just me rambling on cause I dont feel like doing anything of anything right now. Blah!

I think I have a crafting fever!

Well its late but I had to post cause I feel very accomplished. I wanted to make Ada a play apron cause she is always trying to put on mommys so I set out to do that using scrap fabric I had laying around. I think it came out pretty dang cute! I used the pattern that I posted on my blog a while back and just shrunk it for her size and then added the top part cause she makes messes! I really like the way it came out! It was a bigger project then I thought cause of stoping and starting so it took me most of the day to do. But i like it. Now I just need to get it on her and get a cute picture!

I also wanted to post a pic of the beginnings of Scott's Army wall in our house. I made the letters and the star. I know he has a bunch more certificates and such when he comes home and I want to add more pictures from his graduations and stuff. But one step at a time... I was glad I atleast got this up before he gets home!

Fun day with friends

Today Ada and I got to enjoy the company of Liz, Brian and Skylar. We had a good day going to lunch, then visiting some friends and then back to the house to just relax and play. Bubba and Ada played out front for a long time with side walk chalk and the 4 wheeler and bubbles. The two of them seem to do pretty good together. After getting all dirty they took a bath together which was fun to see them splish splashing. They made a huge mess but thats ok. What are kids for right After the kids passed out we had some grown up time. All in all it was a good day

Another good day

Well today was another good and exciting day. I got to dress Ada up in her cute spring dress. I ended up cleaning all morning. And then after morning naps and lunch we headed out to Wazoos for a little fun. After that it was off to hobby lobby to get some things for some more projects I had in mind.

Well when we got home, there was the ice cream man! What a great idea. Ada had never had anything from him. Right away she understood that she was going to get something. I ended up picking out the Dora treat they had. Well lets just say Ada showed me very quickly how this was not the best idea and that she is definatly entering the terrible twos. After opening it, I proceeded to try and give her some and she wanted to hold it herself. Well by the time I realized that's what she wanted the tantrum was already in full motion and she ended up in time out in her room to scream it out until she was done. Dora went into the freezer. About five minutes later she calmed down and came to me and said please and pointed to the fridge. So I thought we would try it again. This time I held her and put a bib on her and then gave it to her and she was pretty excited. She kept feeding herself and then feeding mommy. What a goof ball.

So here are a couple of the projects I worked on today. I saw this great idea in one of the blogs I follow online. They took just some cheap quilters things (can't remember what they are called right now) and put cute fabric in them, and then used them as like a tack board above their work area. Like to post new things you find of projects you might want to work on or what not. Well I had left over fabric from the same that matches the quilt in pillows on the couch in my office so I thought I would give it a shot. I really like the way they came out. I might eventually paint the quilt things black just to make it stand out a bit more. As you can see I already have some ideas up there just waiting to be done.

Another project I saw on someone else blog was a cute way to hold all of a girls hair clips. So I thought I would give this one a shot to.

Here is is before the hair ties are on it:
And after its hung in all its glory:
I really liked the way it turned out!

Oh yeah, tomorrow marks the one month till Scott is on a plane and coming home! I am so so so excited!!!

Spring Spring Spring

Well I thought I would post a pic of Ada in the cute dress. She wasn't being very cooperative on the whole picture thing so sorry. But I think she looks adorable!

Also I decided to try and dress up my little window for spring and I am loving these candles I have. I ended up just tying some spring colored ribbon I had lying around, around them. And then adding my cute little bunny to it. I just like how each season I can change up the ribbons and do something festive for all the holidays and stuff.

Another project...hmm

Well here is another project I just did tonight. I wanted to change up my wreath to fit the season. I am not completely sure if I like it or not...? Thoughts?

Spring Project

Well I have a few spring projects I want to do around here and one of the first was to make Ada a few pillowcase dresses with the cute fabric they have out. So today I set off to Hobby Lobby to find some. Sadly most of the fabric was pretty picked over, but on an upside everything was on sale! I found a couple cute fabrics and got enough to make Ada two dresses, and also my friends baby two dresses for under $8!! I was pretty excited about this! I was able to accomplish the first of Adas today. I think it turned out pretty stinking cute and I can't wait to dress her in it tomorrow. For now all you get is a picture of it on the hanger

But here are a few cute pics of her in the bath. I was in the office working on some things and I heard her just having a ball in the bath so I went to check on her cause that usually means trouble. I was right! She had sucessfully gotten her hand on the plunger (which thank goodness has never been used!) and had it in the tub with her! She was sticking it to the walls. What a little goof ball! Needless to say its safely now on the other side of the toilet so she can't reach it. What a gross thought if it hadn't been brand new...eww!!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Glitter Graphics & Comments

Today we were attacked by leprechauns! I have always wanted to start doing this stuff for my kids and Ada is finally getting to be old enough that it is fun to do with her so today we had a blast! The day started off with a green bath. She really loves all the colored baths. She thinks they are so "ooooo pretty"

The leprechauns next attacked our breakfast and we had some yummy green waffles. Her face in the picture cracks me up but she loves waffles and its one of the few things that I can get her to eat a whole plate of!

I had to post a cute picture of Ada in her adorable St. Pattys day dress. Its been hot here again finally so I get to dress her in cute little summer dresses which I love. And she loves to cause she pulls them up and shows off her belly. Probably not the best thing for a girl to be pulling up her dress haha
Well after this mommy had to go to the gym. Nothing to fun there. Everyone did tell me how cute she looked in her green dress and I made sure to wear a green shirt so no one could pinch me! After that the leprechauns were at it again and attacked our lunch! Ada had green mac and cheese and peas which are already green duh.

Next we went to a place called Wazoos. Its this fun indoor place that has a bunch of blow up bounce houses and slides and a younger kid area as well. All kinds of balls and toys and just a bunch of fun stuff. The cool part is that until she turns 19 months she is still free to get in, as are adults. I should have started taking her here the second we got in town! She loved the place!!! It was our first time. We invited our neighbors along who have a son the same age as Ada and the two of them had fun running around. Ada had no fear in the bounce places. She thought it was so much fun to run into the walls and bounce off and fall down all over the place. She really loved the big slide and made me take her up it ALOT! Oh yeah the cool part is that I get to play with her till she is two! I know when Scott gets home we are going to be fighting over who gets to go play with her on the toys. Were such big kids! haha.

After wazoos it was home for nap time. Then when Ada got up we got to play in some green jello!!! This is was seriously so much fun. It took her a minute to realize that I was giving her permission to make a mess with her food. She thought it tasted very yummy cause she kept going "mmmmm" But then she got the hang of the making a mess part. By the end she was squishing it in her hands and splatering it on the table. The neighbors popped by for a bit of this as well and the two kids had fun throwing it all over the table. Big mess, but so worth it to see her having fun.

By the time she was done her hands and face were pretty welled dyed green. Even after I cleaned her up. We ended the night with some dinner and then playing outside with some bubbles. Bath time, books, flash cards then bed! It was a long day but so much fun! I had a blast with my baby girl
