Playing in the snow

Well it has been snowing here on and off for a while. Sometimes it sticks and other times it doesn't. This is probably the most we have had stick here at our house yet, and Ada was very excited so Daddy, got her all dressed and took her out to play in it. It wasn't even much but she had a blast. She chased the dog around and picked up the snow and just enjoyed herself. Can't wait till there is more snow and she really gets the chance to play!

Pumpkin Carving

Well last night we decided to carve some pumpkins! We had the missionaries over for dinner so we got kind of a late start but it was a lot of fun. Matt and Leslie came over and joined us. They always make things fun. So we carved and had Halloween cookies and cupcakes. Ada had a fun time except she wanted to use all the sharp tools and wasn't very happy when we told her she wasn't big enough. But we bought her the stick in faces for hers and she had fun with those. She decided to leave it on the puppy dog. I carved a monster, because I know how much Ada loves them, and then Scott carved a ghost thing. They all came out good. I tried to take a picture of them lit up but it wasn't working. Matt and Leslie did a creepy jack-o-lantern face. Ada loves being around them! She sat with Leslie a lot of the night and helped her. And its funny cause she always tells "map" to be quiet or to be nice lol.

My quilt

I decided to try my luck at making a rag quilt for Baby Braden and I am pretty pleased with how it came out! I really like the colors and I am thinking of doing my nursery in them now. Anyways, this was a pretty easy quilt to make just time consuming. I want to make Ada one now!

Halloween Festival and a few updates

Last Saturday our town had a little halloween festival that we thought we would check out. It wasn't very big but it was fun. They had a tot walk for the kids and Ada got to play a lot of games and win candy. Also all the booths were trick or treating so she started to get the hang of that. She really loves candy! What a surprise lol. They also had live music there and Ada spent about an hour on the dance floor entertaining people. She dressed up in her halloween costume and had a great time. I can't wait to take her trick or treating on Halloween!

Also some good news we recieved. Scott finally checked in with his unit and they have no deployment on the books for the rest of this year and all of 2010! I am pretty excited about this! It means he will be here for the birth of Brayden and at least most of his first year! I can't believe how lucky we got! Also he will be going to WLC in January and the board right after that for his Sgt. promotion so everyone keep him in your prayers and wish him luck!

Other than that, the weather has been cold and snowing here. Also I am coming to visit Portland on Nov 1st to see my Dad, and brother, and hopefully meet my cousins new baby, Wyatt. And my Uncle Bob will be in town visiting who I haven't seen in a while. Also I will get to see my mom and dad in law which is always really nice. I am excited to get to go home and have a little mini vacation. And then over Thanksgiving we will be making the trek to Utah to spend it with Scotts whole family except for Brian who sadly is still in Iraq. I am so happy to know that Scott will be here and get to come too! I am excited to meet my new niece Nastia finally! And see all our family!

Thats all for now! Hope everyone is having a great month! Oh yeah, I am half way done with this pregnancy!! Yay! Can't wait to meet my son!
Me about 20 weeks

Pumpkin Patch

We took Ada to the pumpkin patch on Friday and it was a lot of fun. Its getting really cold here already. It had snowed some the day before so we weren't to sure how well this was gonna go. When we were driving there there was a lot of fog and then all the sudden you came over a ridge and you were above it! It was so sunny and gorgeous! It was still very cold but very very pretty. This pumpkin patch had a little mini train ride, animal feeding and petting, pony rides, and fun water races with little rubber ducks. Ada really liked it and now I can't wait to carve our pumpkins! She spent some time at the pumpkins making sure to pick the right one. Then once we had our three she kept trying to pick up even more to put in the wagon. She really enjoyed riding the pony and kept saying giddy up! I think its from playing horsey with daddy so much! But we all had a good time!
