Well it sure has been awhile! I can't believe that the last time I wrote in here was back in NOVEMBER! whoops! Well I don't really know how to go about catching up all the time I missed so I am just gonna start over for now and let ya know a few key points that have happened since then. Hopefully I can keep up with this a little bit better this time. Even thought life is about to get a whole lot busier for me!
Lets see where to start. Scott was promoted in Feb. He is now a Staff Sergent! I couldn't be more proud of him and all the work he has put into his career this last year. I am amazed at how much he has progressed and how motivated and determined he is at his job and being a good leader to the guys he is over. It makes me see what a good man he is and how he always makes sure to put others first. He also finished his team leader certifications and is now a certified team leader. The nice thing with the promotion to was a nice raise, but the downfall to that is he now has a lot more responsibility which means longer hours, more on call days, more missions, and more danger. It scares me to know what he does in his job, and I am not looking forward to him going on his next deployment as team leader but at the same time I couldn't be more proud!
Both of the kids are doing great. Bray celebrated his 2nd birthday! Its amazing how fast time flies. He is such an independent little man and he brings so much joy and comic relief to our family. I am truly blessed to have him. Ada is about to graduate pre school and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Again, where does the time go?! I can't believe she will be in full day school and not around all day. Its gonna take a little getting used to! But she too is a great blessing. She is such a sweet and loving girl and I am one proud momma.
As for me, drum roll please..... I am going back to school!! I start in just about a month and I am finally going to to pursue my bachelor of science in nursing! I am extremely excited about this. Its been a long road trying to figure out exactly how we are going to make it all work. Figuring out financial aid, day care for the kids, school for ada, what classes I need. What school to attend, etc etc etc...But everything is in place, I am enrolled and registered for both summer and fall courses and I am so so SOOO excited to start! I will be doing my first year at Pikes Peak Community College and then next fall I will be applying to two different nursing programs and just crossing my fingers one takes me! I am hoping to get into the Beth El college of Nursing which is University of Colorado. This has been a long time coming and a dream of mine for so long! I can't wait to begin this new journey, and having my husband stand behind me and be so supportive of me makes this all feel so worth it. I know it will be long days, and juggling being a mom, wife and student is gonna be a big change for me. But I am up for the challenge!
The other big thing in our lives right now is that we are house hunting! I can't believe we have finally reached a place in our lives that we will consider buying a home! With the military we have always been a little unsure about buying due to the fact that you never know when you will move. But Scott is coming up on his re enlistment here come fall and that will help us ask to continue to stay here in Colorado for a while longer. The higher rank gives him a little more pull for where he wants to go and we finally feel like this is the next big step and right direction for our family! His re enlistment comes with a nice bonus and that helps make me feel more secure about buying now. We are both very excited about the prospect of owning a home...we have a good idea of the neighborhood we want to move into and will be building our house. Its a two to three month process once we get it all started so hopefully by the beginning of next year we will be moved and settled in to our very first HOME! What a great thought that is.
Well I think thats the big parts for now. I will work on adding some pictures later and trying to update about some of the smaller things in our lives but thats all I have for now. Hope everyone out there is well!
