Our Trip To Oregon

Well last week we flew out to Oregon for James and Taras wedding and to spend some time with family. It was a great time. We got to spend a lot of time with both families which was nice. The wedding was very nice. Ada was an adorable flower girl along with her cousin Bryce who was a very handsome little ring bearer. Unfortuantly Ada's dress was a little long and she eneded up triping on it. But it was still so cute. That was on Friday. Thursday we spent the day getting ready for the wedding and then having the rehersal dinner. Which was some really good food if only I wasn't so sick that I couldn't enjoy any of it. Saturday we spent the day with my Dad and my brother. We went to the river over by my brothers house and played. Ada had a great time but the water was a little chilly. There was a really nice waterfall right there and Scott did some scuba diving with my dad and also went cliff jumping. I was pretty jealous of that because I really wanted to go cliff jumping but my hubby wouldn't let me :( After a day at the river we went back to my dads house and Ada got to go on a boat ride! It was alot of fun to cruise up and down the river. She really enjoyed it. She loves all the ducks at my dads house and wanted to go out on the deck any chance she could get to feed them. My dad got her an adorable little outfit that was to big for her but we put it on anyways and took some pictures. Sunday we went to a county fair out in St Helens with my dad. We got to walk around for a bit and see the animals and we put Ada on one of those bounce things and she LOVED it! It was fun to see her bounce and go Weee! After that we headed out to my brothers place for a nice lunch. Jen made us a indian dish that was very good. We also threw down on some WII which my brother kicked my butt at. I never play mine here so I kinda sucked. After that we headed out to Scotts parents house for dinner. His mom made lasgana which was delicious. Of course whenever you stay with family I swear all you do is eat eat eat! But hey I'm prego so it works for me haha. Monday we decided to head to the zoo with Will Diana and Colton since all the parents were working. We had a great time. Ada loved to see all the animals and tell us what they were. Her and Colton shared a stroller and it was cute to see them sitting together. We also got the chance to feed the parrots at the zoo. They have little nector cups. I got one to sit on my hand for awhile and it was pretty sweet. Poor Ada was feeding one with Daddy and the bird licked her and it scared her so she threw the nector in her face...see picture. It was so sad. After the zoo we just headed back to his parents house to relax. That night we went out to dinner with his parents just us and them since everyone else had headed home at this point. We also got Cold Stone ice cream which I was pretty happy about. Tuesday we went with my dad up to see my Grandpa and Grandma. It was a nice quick trip. We spent some time catching up and walking around their gardens. Also Ada's great Grandpa gave her some costume jewlery that belonged to her great great Grandma which she loves and plays with all the time now. After visiting them on our way back my dad decided we needed to take Ada to the Enchanted Forrest. That place has improved a lot since I was a kid. Ada had alot of fun and even got to go on a few rides. Then we headed back to Scotts parents house and relaxed and my friend Kelli came over for a quick visit. It was really nice to see her.Well that pretty much sums up our trip. We came home and they gave Scott a three day weekend so we are just enjoying that.

First OB Appt

Photobucket

What a joke!! Lets just start off by saying that I really really REALLY dont like military doctors! I was told by my primary doctor that at my first appointment they would do an ultrasound and find out where the baby is at, get an approximate due date, and just make sure everything is ok. LIES! So I get there and they tell me that all the first appointment is, is paperwork and some labs. I was a little upset. SO..I asked the lady what I had to do to get a look at my baby or atleast at the heartbeat just to have some reassurance that everything was ok. Not to mention I really don't know when I am due and I would like to know about how far along I am. Well she said to basically say that I am cramping and then I can go to the same day clinic and they would do one. Plus I needed to get some anit nausea meds anyways. So thats what I did. WELL..when I saw this doctor he said that he was going to do an ultrasound. They tried to pull it up and could just barely see the gestational sac and since they thought I was in my 10th week that isn't right. They should be able to see the baby. So he said that either A) my dates are off (which i think is the most likely thing) or B) there is something wrong. So he sent me to the lab to do more blood work and then I have to go back monday for more blood work and to see the doctor again. He said he can compare the two samples and hopefully get a better idea of how far along I am. If I am just not as far along then there is nothing wrong with the fact that they only saw the sac. If I am around 10 weeks then there is a problem. So basically he told me to go home and rest and no heavy lifting etc etc...And he said worse case I could miscarry. Again I just think the dates are off and I am actually only about 5 weeks. If the dumb doctor would have just used the internal ultrasound he could have solved the problem right then and there instead of sending me home for the weekend to stress and worry. So until monday here I sit and still don't know how far along I am or if my baby is healthy. I cannot wait to get to Colorado Springs and seek an off base facility. I hate hate HATE military doctors! I refuse to labor at another military facility.

Speaking of Colorado Springs, we should know by today if our report date is changed. If so then we will have to report Sep 10th. Which means we will leave here end of August. We haven't fully decided if we are going to do the packing and moving ourselves or if we are going to have the army do it. Scott is very determined to do it ourselves and make some money. But the thing with this is we all know who does the actual work and its sure not him. Just talked to Scott as I am typing this and he's informed me we did get it moved to October but still trying for September. Wont know till monday now. I would love to just get there as soon as possible so I can have all my prenatal care taken care of by the same people. Not to mention get our place, get settled long before I get big. And before it gets all snowy to move.

Well thats about it for now. We are getting packed and ready for our trip to Portland on Wednesday for Jimmy and Taras wedding. I still have to find a dress and Scott needs clothes too. I can't decide if I should buy a maternity dress or not...ugh. Anyways...all for now! Sorry so long...and no pictures. Ill have to get the camera out more.

4th of July and a visit from Grandma

Well my mom came to visit a few days ago. She stopped by on her way through to Florida with Connie. We had a good but short visit. Ada loved having her Grandma here. And of course Grandmas kitty. We went out to dinner which was nice. Then the next morning was when I found out I was expecting and it was pretty cool to have my mom here to share it with. Unfortunately Ada got an ear infection that day and I had to take her to the doctor. She didnt want to move and just layed on the couch for two days. But she is up and running now. Yesterday was 4th of July and we had a good one. We went out to breakfast as a family and then did a little shopping. We went to a bbq with friends for a little while and then came home and did fireworks with our neighbors. Ada really liked them and it was fun to see her clap after all the fireworks. Hope everyone else had a fun 4th!

Im Sorry!

Well its been a while since I last blogged but my MIL informed me that's its been forever and that I needed to get on top of this. So here I am. Well the last little bit has just been busy. Watching two girls all day and trying to keep them entertained keeps me pretty busy. Then you top on housework and being a wife and well I am just tired by the end of each day. We have been doing lots of fun stuff though. The girls love to go to Wazoos and its fun to take them there. They both run around like crazy and get exhausted by the time we go home. We have also been swimming at the local pool which is really nice. They have a good wading pool area for the little kids. Ada loves the water!! She puts her face in it and swims and run and just loves everything about it. This last weekend Scott and I got to have a pretty adult weekend. We had a sitter on friday night and went out with his Subie group. I met a new wife and that was fun. We are actually going to be hanging out sometime soon without the boys. Then Saturday we went to Isis birthday party. I made her a pretty cool cake if you ask me. She had a good birthday. Then we dropped Ada back off at the sitter to stay the night and Scott and I enjoyed a night off and then we headed to Six Flags the next day!~ I surprised him with tickets that I found at a discount online. We had a really good time just me and him. We really needed a day away. We rode all the rollercoasters and the lines were even really short which was awesome. Well after six flags we came home, showered and then saw a movie before we picked up Ada. I really missed her and I was anxious to go get her.

Lets see other big news is that we finally got our plane tickets to go to Jimmys wedding. We will be in Portland from the 15th-22nd. I am pretty excited to go. I can't wait to see all my family and friends. Oh and I cut my hair. Its shorter now and I really like it. Much less upkeep and much much cooler! Well thats all really. My mom is coming into town tonight to stop for a quick visit and I am sure I will have a few pics from that soon. Hope everyone is doing great and having a great summer! The catipillar cake I made!
